CSI Presents In-Building Wireless Funding Seminar in Phoenix
Cellular Specialties, Inc. will present at a seminar on how to fund the deployment of in-building wireless systems at meeting of the Arizona Technology Council, Dec. 7, in Phoenix.
"Funding for in-building wireless solutions is something that a lot of people do not consider. They are focused on the technology first and foremost," said Jeff Van Pelt, CSI spokesman. "We try to look at it as a complete package. Along with the technology aspect, funding must be considered."
The two-hour educational session, "Funding an In-Building Wireless Solution," will cover funding options available for implementing an indoor DAS, including business owner financing, self-funding, leasing options and carrier funding.
"There are a lot of different ways to deploy wireless and a lot of different ways to fund it. It behooves everyone to look at all the options," Van Pelt said.
The seminar will address strategies for working with the wireless service providers, including understanding the contractual, business and technical issues.
"In the case of larger deployments, one of the trends we're seeing is that the carriers are willing to fund portions of the project. In some cases their contribution can cover a majority of the solution cost," Van Pelt said. "For medium and smaller solutions, the carriers are generally looking for the enterprise to fund some if not all of the system." Additionally, the seminar will look at how different technologies can affect the cost of a system and at different strategies for maintaining the DAS.
The seminar is open to the public and runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Arcadia Room, 3950E, Campbell, Phoenix. The cost is free for members and $25 for non-members. For more information, Click HERE
